Take the Leap

We all want to be successful and do what we love. Sometimes that means starting a side hustle while working a current job. However, starting your side hustle when you have anxiety can be daunting. But, as someone who’s quite unhappy with her current job, and seems to be stuck there, it can be necessary.

It begins with an idea- one idea that you feel passionate about. But where do you go from there?

You research. You dive deep into the world that you want to be a part of and devour every word, every bit of knowledge.

You draft a business plan and tweak it over time. You figure out the best medium for getting the word out about your idea, whether that be social media, local advertisements, word of mouth, etc. You create a social media account (or several) to build and stay connected to your community.

But from there your anxiety takes over. What do you do now? How do you really get your side hustle off the ground? How do you take that leap and really begin? Well, you just do.

As someone who finds herself stuck with what to do next and with social anxiety, talking to people face to face (especially about building this side hustle) can be scary. It’s also scary to pursue a career path on your own. But there is proof out there that it’s worth it, all you have to do is take that leap.
